Take Your Place - 2006

Take Your Place is an Aimhigher project and toured High Schools in Worcestershire.It was aimed at Year 10 pupils. In the play Sarah, an A-level student, gets her exam results and has to decide what she wants to do next. The learning outcomes were to:

• reinforce the idea that HE is for everyone
• reinforce their awareness of the benefits of HE weighed against the costs
• develop the skills of communication, working with others and self-organisation which are essential to HE study
• reinforce their awareness of the different pathways into HE and the stages they need to pass through on the way
• develop awareness of the variety of courses and institutions which offer them
• acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to research the next steps
